#162 Furret

Hi all!

Finding time to crochet is hard when you have a small baby crawling around the house! My little human is now 6 months old and now I'm finally finding a little time to get back into crochet again!

So here I am with a furret pattern! But shiny version!

I did completely forget to take measurements for this plush but it was of a decent length...almost the length of my keyboard and does stand upright on its own.

Head
In cream
Round 1: CH2, SCx6 in the 2nd stitch from the hook (6)
Round 2: 2SCx6 (12)
Round 3: [2SC, SC]x6 (18)
Round 4: [2SC, SCx2]x6 (24)
Round 5: [2SC, SCx3]x6 (30)
Round 6: [2SC, SCx4]x6 (36)
Round 7: [2SC, SCx5]x6 (42)
Round 8: [2SC, SCx6]x6 (48)
Round 9 - 14: SCx48 (48, 6 rounds)
Round 15: [SC2tog, SCx6]x6 (42)
Round 16: [SC2tog, SCx5]x6 (36)
Round 17: [SC2tog, SCx4]x6 (30)
Round 18: [SC2tog, SCx3]x6 (24)
Stuff firmly.
Round 19: [SC2tog, SCx2]x6 (18)
Round 20: [SC2tog, SC]x6 (12)
Round 21: SC2togx6 (6)

Round 2: 2SCx6 (12)
Round 3 - 4: SCx12 (12, 2 rounds)
Round 5: [2SC, SC]x6 (18)
Round 6 - 7: LSx18 (18, 2 rounds)
Round 8: [2SC, SCx2]x6 (24)
Round 9: SCx 24 (24)

Round 11 - 12:SCx30 (30, 2 rounds)
Round 13: [2SC, SCx4]x6 (36)
Round 14 - 15: SCx36 (36, 2 rounds)
Round 16: [2SC, SCx5]x6 (42)
Round 17 - 18:SCx42 (42, 2 rounds)
Pull the loops from the wrong side out to the right side. They’ll be brushed out later.
Round 19: [2SC, SCx6]x6 (48)
Round 20 - 29: SCx 48 (48. 10 rounds) change to pink.
From this round, change from continous round crochet to joined rounds crochet to make the colours line up better. If you don’t mind the slight jag in colour, you can continue in continuous rounds. To make this easier, I always mark the first and last stitch, the chain 1 at the end does not count as a stitch.

To change to joined rounds at the end of round 18, mark the last stitch, slip stitch into the first stitch with the new colour, then chain one and then start round 19 by SC into the same stitch and mark this stitch. Then continue with joined rounds at the end of each round.

Stuff with each colour change as you go.

Round 30 - 39: SCx48 (48, 10 rounds) change to cream
Round 40 - 49: SCx48 (48, 10 rounds) change to pink
Round 50 - 59: SCx48 (48, 10 rounds) change to cream
Round 60 - 69: SCx48 (48, 10 rounds) change to pink
Round 70 - 79: SCx48 (48, 10 rounds) change to cream
Round 80: [DC2tog, DCx6]x3, SCx24 (45)
Round 81: [DC2tog, DCx6]x3, SCx21 (42)
Round 82: [DC2tog, DCx5]x3, SCx21 (39)
Round 83: [DC2tog, DCx5]x3, SCx18 (36)
Round 84: DCx18, SCx18 (36) change to pink
Round 85 - 89: SCx36 (36, 5 rounds) change to cream
From here on, I went back to continous rounds because that’s easier for me.

Round 90 - 99: SCx36 (36, 10 rounds)

To sew the body to the head,I folded down slightly the back of the neck area so that the head sits at a slightly nicer angle.

  1. This is adorable! Do you know how much yarn it took? I'm not sure how much I need to buy

    1. Thank you! I'm sorry I don't keep track of the amount of yarn it takes to make the plush but it wouldn't have been more than one ball of each colour.

Avatar Crochet : Momo

Hello! I am back with another pattern. This was made as a gift for a friend of mine who I hope will find this to be a great surprise. As I was making it, I thought it would be nice tonote down the pattern and post it here. Apologies, some of the photos are quite yellow as they were taken at night and the last photo I got of him isn't the best as it was taken with a lot of junk in the background but it's the best finished photo I have of him. The first few photos he also has wonky eyes coz I kind of rushed it. But I fixed that up for the later photos...as I couldn't stand it. This makes a plush from DK weight yarn that is 35 cm (just under 14 inch) tall and the tail is 35cm (13 and a half inches) long. With the weigh his legs and feet are made and with the tail for support, Momo can stand by himself. Apologies if I got anything wrong, I personally don't watch Avatar so everything was from pictures! Here we go with the pattern: Momo DK weight yarn in white, ...

#778 Mimikyu

Hello all!! I've been mysteriously quiet lately but I've been very productive. Just lazy when it comes to actually resizing my images and putting these patterns up. I have a backlog of actual patterns to put up so I'll work through them slowly. I figure I would come back with one that a lot of people have been happy with. This Mimikyu is 30.5cm (12 inches) tall from base to the tip of its crooked ear. Features are needlefelted on and everything is sewn on and attached so there are no hard parts.  Head/Body Round 1: CH2, SCx6 in the 2nd stitch from the hook (6) Round 2: 2SCx6 (12) Round 3: [2SC, SC]x6 (18) Round 4: [2SC, SCx2]x6 (24) Round 5: [2SC, SCx3]x6 (30) Round 6: [2SC, SCx4]x6 (36) Round 7: [2SC, SCx5]x6 (42) Round 8: [2SC, SCx6]x6 (48) Round 9: [2SC, SCx7]x6 (54) Round 10: [2SC, SCx8]x6 (60) Round 11 - 20: SCx60 (60, 10 rounds) Round 21: [SC2tog, SCx8]x6 (54) Round 22: [SC2tog, SCx7]x6 (48) Round 23: [SC2tog, SCx6]x6 (42)  ...
