#278 Wingull

The most recent addition to the crochet pokedex is wingull! It's a gift for a friend of mine and I'm very glad that it's turned out the way it has.

Beak to tail measurement is 30cm (12 inches) with a wingspan of 60cm (23 1/2 inches).

This pattern uses DK yarn and a G - 4.00mm hook. But since it's a plush you can really use any size.
Yarn is in grey, yellow, red, black, white and light blue.

Stuff firmly.
Round 31: [SC2tog, SC]x6 (12)

Sew closed.

The beak is red on the inside. And the red beak serves as the structure. The grey and white crochet pieces then sew over the top.
Beak
Red

  1. Hello! I see I got the counts wrong there. I don't have the plush anymore and I can't remember what the exact counts should be but as long as you pick one option and follow it for both wings it should be fine!

  2. I gotta say I love this pattern it looks really well, but I'd say it is not very beginner friendly as a number of useful infos are left out, like how to sew the pieces together like on which rounds, as a circle or completely flat, stuff like that, the pics are too few and not enough by themselves to explain that. and I have noticed a few mistakes like for the wings on Round 35 it misses a SC2TOG and the number of rows is wrong for the 6 rows of SC between rounds 42 and 46, since 42 to 46 makes it 5 rows.
I personally think that "Then crochet into the last next stitch on the first wing piece" is worded in a weird way but maybe that's just me, it left me confused until I got up to that point and did it myself, I can't think of a better way to phrase it myself since english isn't my native language so I guess I'll just leave it at that.
Thank you for otherwise a really interesting pattern for my favourite pokémon!

#778 Mimikyu

Hello all!! I've been mysteriously quiet lately but I've been very productive. Just lazy when it comes to actually resizing my images and putting these patterns up. I have a backlog of actual patterns to put up so I'll work through them slowly. I figure I would come back with one that a lot of people have been happy with. This Mimikyu is 30.5cm (12 inches) tall from base to the tip of its crooked ear. Features are needlefelted on and everything is sewn on and attached so there are no hard parts.  Head/Body Round 1: CH2, SCx6 in the 2nd stitch from the hook (6) Round 2: 2SCx6 (12) Round 3: [2SC, SC]x6 (18) Round 4: [2SC, SCx2]x6 (24) Round 5: [2SC, SCx3]x6 (30) Round 6: [2SC, SCx4]x6 (36) Round 7: [2SC, SCx5]x6 (42) Round 8: [2SC, SCx6]x6 (48) Round 9: [2SC, SCx7]x6 (54) Round 10: [2SC, SCx8]x6 (60) Round 11 - 20: SCx60 (60, 10 rounds) Round 21: [SC2tog, SCx8]x6 (54) Round 22: [SC2tog, SCx7]x6 (48) Round 23: [SC2tog, SCx6]x6 (42)

Avatar Crochet : Momo

Hello! I am back with another pattern. This was made as a gift for a friend of mine who I hope will find this to be a great surprise. As I was making it, I thought it would be nice tonote down the pattern and post it here. Apologies, some of the photos are quite yellow as they were taken at night and the last photo I got of him isn't the best as it was taken with a lot of junk in the background but it's the best finished photo I have of him. The first few photos he also has wonky eyes coz I kind of rushed it. But I fixed that up for the later photos...as I couldn't stand it. This makes a plush from DK weight yarn that is 35 cm (just under 14 inch) tall and the tail is 35cm (13 and a half inches) long. With the weigh his legs and feet are made and with the tail for support, Momo can stand by himself. Apologies if I got anything wrong, I personally don't watch Avatar so everything was from pictures! Here we go with the pattern: Momo DK weight yarn in white,
