Hello!
I am back with another pattern. This was made as a gift for a friend of mine who I hope will find this to be a great surprise. As I was making it, I thought it would be nice tonote down the pattern and post it here.
Apologies, some of the photos are quite yellow as they were taken at night and the last photo I got of him isn't the best as it was taken with a lot of junk in the background but it's the best finished photo I have of him. The first few photos he also has wonky eyes coz I kind of rushed it. But I fixed that up for the later photos...as I couldn't stand it.
This makes a plush from DK weight yarn that is 35 cm (just under 14 inch) tall and the tail is 35cm (13 and a half inches) long. With the weigh his legs and feet are made and with the tail for support, Momo can stand by himself.
Apologies if I got anything wrong, I personally don't watch Avatar so everything was from pictures!

Stuff the leg firmly and then sew to the body on an angle.
The following are for all the brown markings on the body. Some of the pieces may be a bit too big or small for your plush depending on how firm you stuffed it. You may need to adjust some stitches.

Tail
Start with brown

Round 2: 2SCx6 (12)
Round 3 - 6: SCx12 (12, 4 rounds) change to white

Round 16 - xx: SCx12 Keep crocheting until you have the length of tail you want. It may help to stuff as you go. Then sew the tail onto the end of the back brown patch.
Hands - Side 1
1 white, 1 brown
Round 1: CH2, SCx6 in the 2nd stitch from the hook (6)
Round 2: [2SC, SC]x3 (9)
Round 3: [Chx3, SCx2 (down the chain starting from the second loop from the hook), SC]x3, SC, Chx4, SCx3 (down the chain), SCx5
Hands - Side 2
1 white, 1 brown

Round 3: [Chx3, SCx2 (down the chain starting from the second loop from the hook), SC]x3, SCx5, Chx4, SCx3 (down the chain), SS.
For each of the brown pieces, leave a long tail. Finish off with the white. Match the corresponding pieces together (white to brown) and sew the hands together so the right side is facing outwards. Keep the long tail as this will then be used to sew the hand pieces to the arms later.
I make the whole arm with brown because it was easier than trying to make it two tone. Once the wings are sewn onto the arms it will give the two tone effect.

This is the picture of the piece after I made it. |
This is the piece after I sewed the thumb into position. |
I make the whole arm with brown because it was easier than trying to make it two tone. Once the wings are sewn onto the arms it will give the two tone effect.
