Fortnightly Friday Freebies! Dango Pattern

So I here I am back again, this time wanting to share the pattern for the dango hairclip that I have made just a few days ago. It was quite an easy pattern to make up but a lot of fun and it's really quick if you need something cute to go with your outfit!

So this is what you'll need to make the Hanami Dango Hairclip.
*three sets of 7.5mm plastic eyes

*Yarn in the colours you want. I went with the colours above and the brown is for the dango stick
*Bobby pin or whatever you would like to use to attach to your hair later.

Dango Balls (make 3, one in each colour)
Round 1: CH2, SCx6 in the 2nd stitch from the hook (6)
Round 2: 2SCx6 (12)
Round 3: [2SC, SC]x6 (18)
Round 4 - 6: SCx18 (18, 3 rounds)
Attach the eyes now. I put them between rounds 4 and 5. They're about 4 - 5 stitches apart.
Round 7. [SC2tog, SC]x6 (12)
Round 8. SC2togx6 (6)
Depending on how comfortable you are stuffing things, you might want to stuff before completing round 8 and then stuff a little more or you can stuff after round 8 which is what I did.
Then sew closed.

For the green ball you can cut off the tail. Leave a semi long tail for the pink ball and a longer tail for the white.

You can then needlefelt or embroider on the mouth. It would be really cute to give them a variety of expressions. I chose with the C: face because it's my favourite.

Dango Stick
Round 1: CH2, SCx6 in the 2nd stitch from the hook (6)
Round 2 - 6: SCx6 (6, 5 rounds)
Leave a tail and sew onto the bottom of the green ball.

Then sew the white ball to the green ball. Then bring the yarn tail to the back of the white ball and sew on the bobby pin or whichever hair accessory you chose.

Sew the pink ball to the top of the white ball.

And there you have a cute little dango hair accessory!~

Avatar Crochet : Momo

Hello! I am back with another pattern. This was made as a gift for a friend of mine who I hope will find this to be a great surprise. As I was making it, I thought it would be nice tonote down the pattern and post it here. Apologies, some of the photos are quite yellow as they were taken at night and the last photo I got of him isn't the best as it was taken with a lot of junk in the background but it's the best finished photo I have of him. The first few photos he also has wonky eyes coz I kind of rushed it. But I fixed that up for the later photos...as I couldn't stand it. This makes a plush from DK weight yarn that is 35 cm (just under 14 inch) tall and the tail is 35cm (13 and a half inches) long. With the weigh his legs and feet are made and with the tail for support, Momo can stand by himself. Apologies if I got anything wrong, I personally don't watch Avatar so everything was from pictures! Here we go with the pattern: Momo DK weight yarn in white, ...

#778 Mimikyu

Hello all!! I've been mysteriously quiet lately but I've been very productive. Just lazy when it comes to actually resizing my images and putting these patterns up. I have a backlog of actual patterns to put up so I'll work through them slowly. I figure I would come back with one that a lot of people have been happy with. This Mimikyu is 30.5cm (12 inches) tall from base to the tip of its crooked ear. Features are needlefelted on and everything is sewn on and attached so there are no hard parts.  Head/Body Round 1: CH2, SCx6 in the 2nd stitch from the hook (6) Round 2: 2SCx6 (12) Round 3: [2SC, SC]x6 (18) Round 4: [2SC, SCx2]x6 (24) Round 5: [2SC, SCx3]x6 (30) Round 6: [2SC, SCx4]x6 (36) Round 7: [2SC, SCx5]x6 (42) Round 8: [2SC, SCx6]x6 (48) Round 9: [2SC, SCx7]x6 (54) Round 10: [2SC, SCx8]x6 (60) Round 11 - 20: SCx60 (60, 10 rounds) Round 21: [SC2tog, SCx8]x6 (54) Round 22: [SC2tog, SCx7]x6 (48) Round 23: [SC2tog, SCx6]x6 (42)  ...
