Slowly plugging at it

So, I've been preparing myself for Supanova so I've been re-making old things. But a big part of me does want to release that pikachu pattern soon. Since I want to make a pikachu to sell at the convention itself, I will be working on that over the next week or so. With the way I make my plush I don't know if I'll be able to release a pattern for every single pokemon but let's keep that goal in mind until I come across one that's way too hard to write a pattern for. :) Until then, I have released my first paid pattern into ravelry. That's so exciting. It's the teddy bear and kitty kat hat that I designed and made a while ago.   Please support me if you like my designs!

Pikachu Gloves

I have taken a small break from pattern writing and pokemon plush making to start a new direction in my crochet for now. Glove making! My first pair of gloves would be pikachu gloves. After that I'm working on some totoro as well as some bobomb gloves. I won't be releasing patterns for the gloves because I adapted them from other gloves and I don't feel right uploading a pattern that I only worked on from halfway. But I am very very happy with the way these guys turned out. When I was first making gloves, I used another pattern that I didn't enjoy quite so much. I thought I would never be able to make a pair of good gloves but after another night of trial and error I finally finished these and I'm so happy with myself. Never give up!

Want to crochet an apple?

Did you see how my pikachu was hugging his apple? Well, while I'm perfecting the pikachu pattern for release, you can make the apple that he hugs. I'm releasing this pattern on its own for whoever wants to make this tasty fruit. How to read my patterns: *CH - chain one *SC - single crochet *SC2tog - single crochet two stitches together *2SC - Single crochet twice in the same stitch (number) - how many stitches in that round or row [instruction]x(number) - repeat the brackets that amount of times [X rounds] - how many rounds that are crocheted the same way Apple With Red 1. Start a pokemon blog - get sidetracked!

The grand opening of this blog was the pikachu I have just finished. The second post was supposed to be the pattern that I have been writing for it. But that isn't the second post I'm making! Actually, I've been working on a commission for a friend of mine so I'm going to post about that first even though that has nothing to do with Pokemon. But have faith! I have finished writing the pikachu pattern. I'm going to release the apple part of it on this blog and while you guys are happily making apples, I am going to road test the pikachu pattern I have written out and then I will release that pattern as my first proper pattern release. I have also got a cat and teddy hat pattern in the works that's being road tested by a friend of mine so that will be released shortly too. The hat I've been working on, has been a baby sized hat which is a big change because I've been making adult sized novelty hats. I'm going to probably make an adult version of th

Pokemon Crochet Journey begins here!

Hello! My name is May and I started crocheting in August of 2012. Since then I've been obsessively making so many different things and one of my goals in life was to crochet at least one of every single pokemon in existence. ...this year I found out that goal has been pushed out since another one hundred is about to be added to my list! Oh drat! But that's all good, more things for me to make. Recently, however, my goal has been updated. Not only do I want to make one of every pokemon, I also want to make a crochet pattern for every single pokemon too! Some of the patterns I write will be released right onto here. Other patterns can be found at ravelry and storenvy and I'll announce them onto here as I make them. First things first, though! I'll announce the first little guy I'm going to release as a pattern. When I saw pikachu, I couldn't just make a normal pikachu that you can get anywhere. I wanted to make a sitting pikachu that has the pote
